 Specialised Access

• Specialized Access is what in many respects defines the essence of the services offered by Skyriders.
  
  
• Using rope access to work in difficult to reach places, at height
  
  Often involves “out of the box” thinking, achieved using techniques and principles developed in rock climbing and related recreational activities adapted for the industrial environment

Access cont.:

• Rope access has proven to be a safe and effective means of work positioning providing cost and time benefits.
  
  
• Applications:
  – Accessing Structures  eg. cooling towers, chimney stacks
  – Flexible platforms  eg. Nets can be utilized for work positioning
  – Fall arrest systems
  
  Often a requirement that a certified fall arrest system is in place which enables non-rope assisted personnel to work at height in safety.
  – Confined spaces
  eg. silos, bunkers, pipe lines, drains, ducts etc).

Maintenance

• Maintenance stems directly from the initial usage of the rope access technique: high-rise window cleaning.
